Chittagong--(UNB) – Trading at Chittagong Stock Exchange finished lower as the losers strongly dominated the gainers yesterday.

The CSE All Share Price Index shed 12.29 points or 0.90 per cent to close at 1349.18 points from 1361.47 points on Sunday.

The CSE Selective Index also plunged 11.97 points or 0.87 percent compared to that of the previous day.

Of the 58 listed securities traded yesterday, 10 advanced, 38 declined and 10 unchanged.

Some 483,004 shares and debentures valued at Tk 3.15 crore were transacted as against 299,095 shares worth Tk 1.65 crore on Sunday.

Southeast Bank (61,250), Fu-Wang Foods (43,000), Quasem Drycells (1,74,700), Beximco Pharma (34,300) and Chictex Limited (39,000) were among the volume leaders.

Market capitalisation stood at Tk 55.47 billion from Sunday’s Tk 55.92 billion.
